President

Mr. Stein is President of GKY. His expertise is in the areas of water resources, stormwater management, hydrology, hydraulics, and water quality. He is an accomplished computer modeler, analyst, and trainer and has over 35 years of engineering and management experience in working with federal, state, and local clients. His projects have ranged from MS4 stormwater program development and implementation to river basin operations evaluation to regional water supply planning to water quality modeling. Mr. Stein is past chair of the American Society of Civil Engineers Urban Water Infrastructure Committee and several technical committees. He was also President of the Virginia Lakes and Watersheds Association.

Brett Martin, PE

Vice President

Brett Martin is Vice President of GKY. His expertise is in the areas of hydrology, hydraulics, stormwater management design, dam safety permitting, floodplain studies, infrastructure design, and computer programming and modeling. Mr. Martin has extensive experience with the Virginia Impounding Structure Regulations and Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMAs) National Flood Insurance Program. He has established solid working relationships and rapport with federal, state, and local regulators which allows him to interact with the permit writers in a less formal setting to clarify the intent and definition of the regulations on behalf of clients without compromising client objectives.
